We are working on an assignment to identify an experienced PreSales consultant although this person could have a strong background in Solution Engineering/Project Management within the Digital Solutions space.
The client is a world class and leading global digital commerce solutions provider working with leading international retailers and high profile brands.
The role will head up the presales function and drive improvements to their customers' online environments through management and technology solutions.
Reporting into the Technology Director you will play an integral role surrounding the positioning of new and emerging technologies up to discovery phase.
This is a technically focused role, requiring a high degree of solutioning acumen, commercial guile, excellent client/stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate your vision to both onshore and offshore development teams.
You will work closely with Business Development Executives to complete Pre-sales activities. These include (and are not limited to) preparation of RFP response, estimating efforts, conducting demo(s) for the relevant Commerce suite and conducting workshops with clients.

Skills and experience required for the PreSales Consultant;
*A minimum of 5 years Solution/Technology Presales experience specifically within Digital Marketing (Consultancy/Systems Integrator/Full Service Digital Agency)
*A clear and demonstrable methodology for taking new and exciting emerging technologies to market (high degrees of gravitas, confidence in positioning)
*A good understanding of standard commercial models (Time & Materials, Fixed Price, capacity/value based etc.)
*Thorough understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and ideally, Product/Innovation Management (taking new technologies to market)
*Strong working experience in various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, RUP
*Exhibit strong domain knowledge in Ecommerce/multi-channel/Omni-channel retailing
*Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills (external prospects/clients; internal stakeholders)
*Proven ability to producing coherent and detail rich RFP responses, FitGaps and Solution Architecting
*Proven ability in producing credible and actionable status reports
*Experience in pre-sales & contract creation/formalisation (SOW, PID, MSA)
